We collect 2 million blood donations every year

We collect 2 million blood donations every year thanks to the generosity of our donors and the commitment of our blood collection teams.

Our volunteer donors are very special people and as a donor carer, it would be your job to make sure they feel safe, special and well cared for; creating an experience that they will want to return to time and time again.

You’ll enjoy plenty of variety in your work, which will include driving our equipment vehicles, loading/unloading and assembling mobile donation session equipment. You could be testing donors to see if they’re able to give blood that day or maintaining records and offering basic clinical advice and aftercare. Basically, we’ll need you to be ready to get involved with anything that needs doing. But whatever you’re doing you’ll need to be comfortable with the sight of blood, as you’ll be taking the donations too.
